Duo held over Nurin’s case freed
KUALA LUMPUR: The two men who were detained to assist in the Nurin Jazlin Jazimin kidnap-cum-murder case have been released.
The first man who was picked up in Lorong Haji Taib, Chow Kit, on Saturday night was released on Tuesday afternoon.
Federal CID Deputy Director I Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, in confirming the release, said the 43-year-old security guard was released as police did not have sufficient evidence to link him to the murder of the little girl.
The second man, who was arrested in an abandoned building in Jalan Tun Razak on Sunday, was also released yesterday. The man was then handed over to the narcotics department for investigation.
