In an unrelated matter, DCP Mohd Mokhtar said a suspect had been identified for sending death threats to a state MIC leader.
“Initial investigations revealed that only one leader had been threatened. We are taking the matter seriously.” On the murder of state deputy MIC chairman Datuk S. Krishnasamy, he said the case was still being investigated.
“Please don’t jeopardise investigations by speculating. We are working round-the-clock to solve it,” he said.
He urged anyone with information to contact the police hotline at 07-2212999 or the nearest police station.
