Councillors did the right thing
I WANT to congratulate PJ city councillors, A. Thiruvenggadam and Derek Fernandez for their stand in relation to the illegal structures undertaken by the Sivan Temple on Bukit Gasing
Thiruvenggadam, a regular visitor to the temple, has set a good example of religious conduct by upholding two important legal principles, namely acquisition of land and permission for extensions, both of which were ignored by the temple authorities.
Thiruvenggadam, as the The Star reported, had also spoken to leaders from Hindraf, MIC, MIC Youth, and the Malaysia Hindu Sangam about these matters.
As Malaysians, it is only proper that we abide by the law.
MOKHTAR STORK,
