Housewife denies using fake credit card
KUALA LUMPUR: A housewife has claimed trial to using a fake credit card to purchase a RM14,000 Rolex watch.
Loh Yin Fun, 40, is alleged to have dishonestly used the card in the name of “Linda Goodman” to buy the watch.
She is said to have committed the offence at a shop in Jalan Sultan Ismail at 4pm on Oct 30.
If convicted, she can be jailed up to 20 years and fined under Section 471 of the Penal Code read together with Section 467 of the same Code.
Loh also claimed trial to an alternative charge of attempting to cheat Woohing KL Sdn Bhd’s salesman Chia Kam Yen into believing that she was a tourist by the name of Linda Goodman to purchase the said watch.
If found guilty, she can be jailed up to five years, whipped and fined under Section 420 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 511 of the same Code.
Sessions Court judge Rozana Ali Yusoff set bail at RM8,000 in one surety and fixed Dec 11 for mention of the case.
