KULAI: The Chinese community here is delighted with news that SJK (C) Kulai 2 will be built here.
The school's director Cheng Shiaw Swie said it was the first time a Chinese primary school would be fully built by the Government in Kulai.
“We welcome the move. It will help solve the overcrowding problem in existing Chinese schools here,” he said.

The school will consist of 30 classroom, three laboratories, two computer rooms, two offices, a hall, a library and other facilities.
It is expected to be built within two years at an estimated cost of RM13mil.
The school was split from SJK (C) Kulai 1 as the latter was overcrowded, with more than 2,000 students.
The two schools currently share the same grounds with students separated into morning and afternoon sessions.
Over the years, SJK (C) Kulai has expanded and has 1,506 students this year.
It is overcrowded and we need a new campus, said Cheng.
He thanked MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and former Kulai MP Datuk Lim Si Cheng for making this a reality.
He said if Ong was Kulai MP, he foresaw more Chinese schools being built in the district.
Hishammuddin, who officiated the school's groundbreaking ceremony , said the Barisan Nasional coalition government had kept its promises to the people.
It was not true that students of different streams were not interacting. They could do so through co-curricular activities and the many programmes organised by the Government, he said.
He said it was also the Government's vision to cultivate human capital capable of competing at international level, despite of their skin colour, race or religion.
