Siti Nurhaliza still trying for a baby

MALAYSIA’S pop darling Datuk Siti Nurhaliza has declared that she is in no rush to have children but if given the choice, she would not discount the possibility of using in-vitro fertilization (IVF), Kosmo! Ahad reported.

Siti, who has been married to Datuk Seri Khalid Mohd Jiwa for about two years and constantly harassed by the media about whether she was pregnant, added that she has never been pressured.

Siti said she was optimistic about having children and said they would continue to try and not give up.

“Adopting children is not wrong but I would prefer to put in effort to have a child, including using IVF. As long as it is not against Islam.”

Radio Selangor FM to move out

> Mingguan Malaysia reported that the Information Ministry has instructed Radio Selangor FM to move out of its office in the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah building after being given an ultimatum by the state government.

Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek said the move was in response to the ultimatum given by Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to the radio station that it would be forced out of the building if it did not want to air the state government’s vision.

Shabery said he was hurt by what Abdul Khalid had said, as it could be read as a threat and rebutted what the Mentri Besar had said about the station not wanting to give him airtime.

“Our principle is clear, if there is news value, there is no limit to how long such news could be aired. The problem now is an issue of power because he made a threat.”

Shabery, however, assured that the radio service would not be interrupted as a temporary office would be found until a new office could be set up.
