By RASLAN BAHAROM
GERIK: The police will interview reporters who covered Bukit Gelugor Member of Parliament Karpal Singh over his statement allegedly questioning the power of the Sultan of Perak.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said recording statements from reporters was part of the police investigation.
“All reporters who interviewed him (Karpal) will have their statements recorded. I can't reveal offhand how many reporters will be interviewed,” he said.
He expected the investigation to be completed soon.
“We will hand over our investigation paper to the Attorney-General in two or three days,” he told reporters after launching a new marine police beat base at Banding island in Tasik Temenggor near here on Sunday.
On Saturday, the DAP chairman was questioned by the police after several reports were made against him for allegedly questioning the powers of the Sultan of Perak.
Musa said statements from a number of people had been recorded.
