Builders hail steel decision
PETALING JAYA: The Master Builders Association Malaysia welcomes the Prime Ministers decision to abolish the ceiling price for steel.
Its president Patrick Wong said the decision was an important milestone for the construction industry as currently, contractors had been facing difficulty in obtaining steel bars at the ceiling price.
Wong said contractors would also have the choice of importing steel bars directly without applying for import licences and were exempted from import duties.
