Serve society, firms told
This is the third year that PTP organised the workshop. From this year, the company aims to involve Form Three and Form Five students sitting for the Peperiksaan Menengah Rendah and Sijil Peperiksaan Menengah examinations in similar workshops.
Aziz proposed that contractors awarded projects in Gelang Patah and Nusajaya contribute to Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) of schools in the area.
“I know the contractors make millions of ringgit from the projects and they should contribute some money to the PTAs,” he said.
Aziz said, for instance, a contractor could give RM10,000 to a school of his choice and the money could be used to pay for tuition or transport for poor students.
