ACA report lodged against Tajol Rosli
By HAH FOONG LIAN
IPOH: A report has been lodged at the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) against former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Tajol Rosli Ghazali for claiming that the Barisan Nasional will take over the Perak government on Aug 31.
Making the report at the ACA office here on Thursday were Canning assemblyman Wong Kah Woh, Tebing Tinggi assemblyman Ong Boon Piow and DAP member Ray Ng.
Wong, who is also Pakatan Rakyat Backbencher Club secretary, said the ACA should investigate Tajol Rosli, who is also Perak Barisan Nasional chief, on the issue of Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen crossing over to Barisan.
He said former PKR Youth chief Ezam Mohd Noor should also be investigated on the same matter.
On July 6, Tajol Rosli had been reported as saying that the Pakatan-led government in Perak would fall on Merdeka Day.
Tajol Rosli had also been reported as saying that Pakatan assemblymen had been given the chance to join Barisan.
On the same day, Ezam had also been reported to say that he had confidence in Tajol Rosli's statement over the fall of the Perak government.
Wong questioned if it was mere coincidence that DAP assemblymen had been enticed to jump ship to Barisan at about the same time that Tajol Rosli had made the claim that the Perak government would fall on Aug 31.
Wong said his state DAP chief Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham had revealed that eight DAP assemblymen had been offered to cross over to Barisan since the March 8 polls.
Wong said ACA officer Nor Azrin Desa, who accepted the report, informed him that the matter would be discussed at a meeting before a decision on who the investigating officer would be.
