No politics for us
AS the chairman of SMK Subang Utama’s Parents-Teachers Association, I was interviewed over the phone on June 25 by a reporter from The Star on the school’s ex-prefects reunion, as requested by Hannah Yeoh, the assemblyman for Subang Jaya.
Specifically representing the school PTA, I gave my stand and statement as follows:
- We will not get involved or caught in any political issue.
- We have no objection to the present prefects who are studying in SMKSU to attend the above function, so long as their parents’ consent is given.
- We have no objection to Ms Hannah Yeoh, as an ex-head prefect, attending the function.
