Security van robbed of RM1mil
LABIS: Two robbers fired six shots into the air before robbing a security van of about RM1mil in front of the Maybank branch here yesterday.
The robbers had waited in a four-wheel drive vehicle not far from the van while three security guards were inside the bank collecting the cash.
The moment the guards walked out at 11.45am with nine bags, the robbers rushed out of their vehicle and fired into the air. The robbers, who wore face masks, then grabbed all the bags from the guards before fleeing.
Segamat police chief Supt Abdul Majid Mohd Ali said police have launched an operation to track down the robbers.
