THE day of the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Beijing on Aug 8 is also an auspicious day for couples to get married.
Sin Chew Daily reported yesterday that a bridal company in Kuala Lumpur is offering couples to take wedding photos with the Beijing Olympic theme “One World One Dream”.
Wedding planner Alice Lee said the theme concurred with marriage.
This has also led to the creation of wedding photos with couples doing sport-themed actions like kicking footballs and wearing boxing gloves.
Wedding couples who have signed up for the wedding package on Aug 8 will get 20 free photographs complete with the Olympic theme.
Couples also get to be photographed with Fuwa, the official mascot of the Games in its different characteristics, like the fish, the panda, the Tibetan antelope and the swallow.
Lee was quoted as saying that the company has started taking orders and would stop offering the special package on Aug 24, when the Olympic Games come to an end.
