Anwar on painkillers nursing back strain
By ANDREA FILMER
BUKIT MERTAJAM: The breakneck schedule of the campaign trail has taken its course on PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The favoured by-election candidate, who was seen getting a boost from bodyguards to cross drains and bumpy roads during a walkabout, professed to be taking painkillers to nurse an old back injury.
“I’m okay, except for the strain on my back. That’s why I cannot start too early.
“I’ve limited my walkabout schedule because of the strain, but it’s manageable. On painkillers, I’ll manage,” he said when speaking to reporters Wednesday after a walkabout in Pekan Penanti this morning.
Anwar and his eldest daughter Nurul Izzah, who is also Lembah Pantai MP, were on the ground meeting the small business community.
