Agong presents appointment letters to judges
KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin presented appointment letters to three Federal Court judges, three Appeals Court judges and six High Court judges at Istana Negara here on Wednesday.
The three Federal Court judges were Datuk Md Raus Sharif, Datuk Abdull Hamid Embong and Datuk Heliliah Mohd Yusof while the three Appeals Court judges appointed were Datuk T. Selventhiranathan, Datuk Tee Ah Seng @ Tee Boon Hooi and Datuk Syed Ahmad Helmy Syed Ahmad.
The six High Court judges appointed were Datuk Mohd Zawawi Salleh, Tuan Ahmad Zaidi Ibrahim, Dr. Hamid Sultan Abu Backer, Tuan Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim, Nallini Pathmanathan and Tuan Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof. Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail and Chief Justice Tun Zaki Tun Azmi were among those present at the ceremony.
The swearing-in ceremony for the appointments will be held at Dewan Persidangan, Aras 1, Istana Kehakiman, Putrajaya at 3pm Wednesday. -- Bernama
