Girl accuses dad of rape to be with boyfriend

A TEENAGER accused her father of raping her so she could run away with her boyfriend, reported Harian Metro.

According to police, the 16-year-old packed her bags last week and tried to run away from home but when her father found out, he started questioning and scolding her.

Unhappy, the girl lodged a police report accusing her father of raping her.

The father was arrested and had to spend a night at the police station lockup while the girl was brought to the hospital for a medical check-up.

When the results showed no signs of rape, the girl left a note to the doctor, admitting that she had made up the story so she could continue being with her boyfriend.

Ampang OCPD Asst Comm Abd Jalil Hassan said the matter was a misunderstanding between father and daughter.

He said the girl had not expected that her father would land in so much trouble.

> The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) will investigate the incident where a RMAF C-130 Hercules plane was hit by stones allegedly thrown by some Padang residents when it was there to carry out a relief and rescue mission, reported Berita Harian.

RMAF chief General Datuk Rodzali Daud said the act could be seen as a sign that the presence of Malaysian planes was not welcomed by certain residents there.

“We do not want to create any more problems in an area which was just hit by a disaster.

“We will investigate and take action to prevent such incidents in the future,” he said.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that the ties between Malaysia and Indonesia would still be cherished despite the incident.
