A first day cover and a folder will also be launched simultaneously with the stamps which were designed by TBWA\TEQUILA.

“The CRC was created to uphold the most basic rights of children, such as their right to an identity, healthcare, education and safety,” said Unicef Representative to Malaysia and Special Representative to Brunei Youssouf Oomar on Tuesday.

“These stamps are a lasting reminder to all of us to never forget this promise to children.”

In welcoming the partnership with UNICEF and TBWA, Pos Malaysia Group Managing Director Datuk Syed Faisal Albar said: “Because children are our legacy, we must do all we can to safeguard their future”

“We are honoured by the partnership towards conveying this positive message through our stamps and First Day Cover to everyone worldwide,” he added.

The Caring Society child rights stamps will be available at all Pos Malaysia outlets nationwide from today for a limited period. First day covers will be available on the date of issue.

The postage comes in a set of four 30sen stamps, each featuring in Bahasa Malaysia and English a child’s right to food, education, play and protection, while the RM1 stamp highlights the CRC.

The Braille feature on the RM1 stamp is recognition that all children have equal rights, including those with disabilities.
