‘Insulting Sultan’ case –Court sets June trial
KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions court will hear the case of Muslim Ahmad, who has been charged with three counts of posting offensive remarks against the Sultan of Perak, next year.
Judge S.M. Komathy Suppiah postponed and fixed June 14 to 25, next year, to hear the full trial of the case as she had another case to dispose of first.
She fixed the date in chambers yesterday. On March 13, self-employed Muslim was charged under the Multimedia and Communications Act.
He was among six charged in courts nationwide for similar offences, and was released on a RM3,000 bail.
