Ronnie denies links with CPM
SHAH ALAM: Selangor state executive councillor Ronnie Liu has denied being involved in any underground activities of the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM).
“All these concocted tales are being used to tarnish my image. Some claim in a blog that I had used a non-governmental organisation to supply medicine to CPM members over the border. This is untrue,” he said.
Liu added some bloggers even went to the length of alleging he had met former CPM secretary-general Chin Peng at the Thai border on Aug 31 last year.
“Nothing of this sort ever happened.” He urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
