Motion on Asri rejected
THE Selangor State Assembly yesterday rejected a motion to urge the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) to drop all charges without any conditions against former Perlis Mufti Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin.
Speaker Teng Chang Khim rejected the motion brought by Saari Sungib (Pas-Hulu Klang), saying it did not meet the urgent criteria set by Standing Order 17(1).
