JOHOR BARU: A post-mortem report has confirmed that the death of a detainee at the Air Molek prison on Sunday was a suicide by hanging, said Johor deputy police chief Datuk Jalaluddin Ab Rahman.
There were no signs of foul play, he told reporters at the state police contingent here Thursday.
J. Saravanan, 22, who charged with the murder of his mother, hanged himself using a pillow cover and a face towel tied a bar of his cell door, according to the police. -- Bernama
