Compiled by AUDREY EDWARDS, TAN SIN CHOW and A. RAMAN
ALTERNATIVE Action Team chief B. Kalaivanar has urged the Kedah Government to fulfil the expectations of the Indian community, reported Malaysia Nanban.
He said distribution of hampers and token cash organised by some companies during the Deepavali festive season did not constitute as helping the community.
He said the state government, since coming into power for the past one year and seven months, had failed to look into the plight of Indians in the state. Kalaivanar said it stands to lose the support of the Indian community if it does not fulfil their expectations.
