Siblings nabbed over thefts
SERI ISKANDAR: Three siblings were among four people nabbed in connection with a spate of house break-ins here recently.
Perak Tengah OCPD Superintendent Mohamad Fakri Che Sulaiman said the suspects, aged between 21 and 26, had terrorised students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) for the past two months.
Supt Mohamad Fakri said 20 cases were now closed with the arrests of the two brothers, their elder sister and a friend on Nov 7.
“We first nabbed one of the brothers and the friend when they were about to break into a house at 5am on Nov 7,” he said yesterday.
“They admitted their guilt and gave us information on their accomplices,” he said.
Supt Mohamad Fakri said they recovered nine laptops worth about RM27,000 and some melted jewellery worth RM3,000.
