CC member supports Najib’s formula
KUANTAN: MCA central committee (CC) member Dr Hou Kok Chung believes that the conflict-resolution proposal put forward by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak can help end the leadership crisis in the party.
“I am also tired with all the squabbling. I hope it will be over as soon as possible,” he said in Cherating yesterday.
Hou was one of the six leaders replaced in a presidential council reshuffle announced by MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Najib was quoted as saying he had held discussions with the MCA leaders aimed at resolving the crisis.
Hou agreed there was a need to regain MCA’s credibility among party members and the Chinese community.
