Chua a capable leader, says Abdul Ghani
JOHOR BARU: Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman says Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek would be an asset to the MCA and state as the party’s Johor chief.
He described the MCA deputy president as a capable leader who knew the issues concerning the Chinese community in Johor well.
“I am sure he will do a good job given his past experience as the party’s state chairman as well as being a Johorean.
“His appointment as state chairman is definitely an asset,” he told reporters here.
Abdul Ghani also urged Johor MCA members to stay committed to the party and Barisan Nasional despite the internal crisis affecting the MCA.
“Hopefully the crisis can be resolved soon. MCA members must think of the bigger picture of the survival of the party and the coalition,” he added.
