Murugiah gives ROS two weeks ... or else
KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Senator Datuk T. Murugiah has given the Registrar of Societies (ROS) two weeks to reply to his appeal, failing which he will resort to the courts for redress.
“I have the right to take legal action to challenge the decisions taken by the ROS in order to clear my name, especially in terms of the perception of the people,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby yesterday.
Murugiah has appealed against the ROS decisions to uphold Datuk M. Kayveas as the rightful president of the PPP and that an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of the party held in May, in which he (Murugiah) was elected the new president, was invalid. — Bernama
