Flood situation in Terengganu improves
KUALA TERENGGANU: The flood in Terengganu subsided further on Sunday morning with the number of evacuees down to only 40 people.
A Welfare Services Department spokesman said only one evacuation centre remained open, namely the Sekolah Kebangsaan Kompleks Gong Badak.
He said the victims would be allowed to return home on Sunday if the fine weather persisted.
The Sekolah Kebangsaan Tok Jiring evacuation centre was closed at 9.30pm on Saturday night.
A Drainage and Irrigation Department spokesman said that the water level in all rivers was normal. - BERNAMA
