Decision on MCA's proposed peace plan after PM reviews it
By IZATUN SHARI
KUALA LUMPUR: A decision on MCA’s proposed peace plan will be announced after Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has reviewed it, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said there seemed to be a general commitment among most party leaders to find ways to resolve the party crisis.
“I have met all MCA leaders and there was another meeting last night (Sunday night). I will report the results to the Prime Minister,” he told reporters when asked about the progress of MCA crisis.
Muhyiddin held a two-hour meeting with several MCA leaders at his residence on Sunday night.
He also said that he had discussed the crisis with the party leaders and made several proposals, which were generally accepted by them.
He said he would report to the Prime Minister after Najib returns Tuesday from the CHOGM Summit.
