Manohara’s lawyers pull out
KUALA LUMPUR: Syariah lawyers Mohd Faiz Adnan and Roshdan Sujak Rafie have pulled out from representing the estranged wife of the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra, Manohara Odelia Pinot.
Counsel Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar, who represents Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, said he had received a notice regarding their withdrawal by fax at about 6pm yesterday.
“However, the reason was not stated,” he said.
Zainul Rijal said the two lawyers represented Manohara in Tengku Muhammad Fakhry’s two suits against Manohara and her mother – one, for his estranged wife to return to him and the other for them to pay him RM1,112,250 which he claimed they owed.
He said the Syariah High Court in Kota Baru, Kelantan had fixed Nov 8 for the hearing of both cases.
Besides that, Manohara and her mother also faced a RM105mil defamation suit filed by her husband at the High Court here. — Bernama
