Man sought in murder case believed to be in KL
BUKIT MERTAJAM: The man sought by police to assist investigations into the murder of his parents, is believed to be in Kuala Lumpur.
Central Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Dr Mohd Shah Hussin Shah said the 36-year-old man told another couple that he was going to Kuala Lumpur on a business matter.
He said the man had also given the couple RM3,000 at about 10am on Saturday, asking them to take care of his sons for three days at their house in Taman Chempa in Butterworth.
“We sent a police team early this month to take custody of the children and we have handed them over to their family members,” he said.
P. Alagarsamy, 67, a broker and his wife, M. Kanama, 63, a retired Tamil school headmistress, were found murdered in their double-storey house in Lengkok Betek at Taman Sri Jaya here on Monday.
Kanama’s decomposed body was found on the staircase while that of Alagarsamy, who sustained head injuries and had strangle wounds, was discovered in his bedroom.
Their bodies were claimed by relatives at the Seberang Jaya Hospital after a post-mortem yesterday.
