Special Cabinet meeting to gauge the plans outlined in the Budget
PUTRAJAYA: A special Cabinet meeting will be convened on Friday to determine areas of responsibilities and timeline for plans outlined in the Budget to materialise, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.
The Prime Minister said the meeting would also outline actions that needed to be taken by the relevant authorities to ensure that the plans met their objectives.
He said department heads would also be called to the meeting as they play an important role to ensure what had been promised in the Budget were implemented accordingly.
“For instance, I want to launch the 1Malaysia clinics in the first week of January next year. So, the Health Ministry will have to work on this to ensure the launch date is according to plan and timeline given to them.

Najib, who is Finance Minister said the Government would introduce more changes to the economy as he believed that Malaysia’s full potential had not been tapped.
In SHAH ALAM, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said Najib would meet the ministers to gauge the performance of their respective ministries based on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and National Key Result Areas (NKRA).
He said it was in line with the Prime Minister’s commitment to change the quality of life of the people by raising the effectiveness of the Government since assuming the premiership in April.
Earlier, Muhyiddin who opened a seminar on Educational Development in the 10MP in Petaling Jaya, said educational planning for next year and in the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) would focus on implementing four educational sub-National Key Result Areas (NKRA).
