Energy Commission chief laid to rest
KUALA LUMPUR: Energy Commission chairman Datuk Pian Sukro, 63, who died of a stroke in Rome on Saturday, has been laid to rest at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery.
His remains arrived at the KL International Airport yesterday and were taken to Balai Islam at the Tenaga Nasional Berhad complex in Jalan Bangsar for prayers and for colleagues and friends to pay their last respects.

Pian died at the Agostino Gemelli Univer-sity polyclinic in Rome.
He leaves behind wife Datin Dr Kobkua Suwannathat, two sons and a daughter.
Pian’s eldest son, Bhuni Mas, 34, a Tenaga Nasional engineer, said he was a jovial and kind man and had always been healthy.
“He just had his medical check-up a few months ago.
“He was doing well; perfectly fine. So, we are still in shock over his sudden death,” he said. — Bernama
