MACC investigating Kelantan state company (Update)

KOTA BARU: Kelantan Mentri Besar Incorporated (PMBK) chief executive officer Ariffahmi Abdul Rahman said he was willing to cooperate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its investigations into the company.
Several MACC officers had reportedly visited his office on Thursday.
Ariffahmi said he was informed of the raid by the corporation’s finance manager.
“I was told that the officers came into the office but did not say what they wanted; all they did was to talk to my finance manager.
“I was also informed that they took documents from the office, such as vouchers, bill payment documents and other related financial documents.
“I was on medical leave at the time after a minor operation on my throat on Sunday,” he said.
“However, for my part, I am willing to give my fullest cooperation to the MACC in whatever it is investigating,” he said here on Friday.
Ariffahmi, who is also the Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat’s son-in-law, said this was the second time that MACC officers had raided the office, adding that the first case had been disposed off.
On Thursday, six officers from the MACC raided PMBK’s office along Jalan KualaKrai at aout 11.30am and took away several documents.
The officers from Putrajaya and Kota Baru were later joined by four others at about noon. They were said to be looking for Ariffahmi but instead quizzed the finance manager after they were unsuccessful in getting the CEO.
