Sun shines - but Siberian winds are set to bring more bad weather
THE ice cap is melting in Siberia, and that could spell more bad weather for Kelantan and Terengganu in a few days.
An anticipated violent movement of Siberian winds across the South China Sea any time between mid-November and early December will trigger off another wave of thunderstorms leading to massive floods in the east-coast states, weather experts said.
For now, though, it was all calm with sunny skies in the two states yesterday bringing cheer to the flood-hit folk. The waters began to subside and there was little rain yesterday as the blue sky showed through.
But like the weather experts said, it could just be the “calm before the storm”.
Both states were getting prepared to face the worst as flood victims streamed home from evacuation centres.
