60-year-old woman gives birth to twins in Canada
CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - A spokesperson for the Calgary Health Region says a 60-year-old woman has given birth at a city hospital.
The western Canadian health region would not give details, but CBC Newsworld reported Thursday that the woman had twins after fertility treatments in India.
The CBC said Ranjit Hayer's two boys were delivered seven weeks prematurely by cesarean section at Calgary's Foothills Hospital earlier this week.
The mother was recovering in intensive care and doctors said the twins were doing well in neo-natal intensive care. - AP
