Peter Cetera concerts cancelled, no reasons given
PETALING JAYA: Chicago former frontman Peter Cetera has cancelled his concerts in Singapore, Australia and Malaysia.
No reason was given for the cancellation, organiser of the concert in Malaysia, Star Planet, said.
“We are alarmed to hear about the cancellations. We have attempted to contact the artiste management company but unfortunately they refused to review further and we were asked to refer to the tour agent.
“We are in the midst of contacting the regional tour agent who cannot be reached,” Star Planet chief operating officer Carmen Liew said in a statement Sunday.
Liew said the cancellation was made through a statement from the artiste’s management company.
The two cancelled concerts were supposed to be held on Feb 27 and March 1 at University Malaysia Sabah and Genting Highlands respectively.
Both shows were expected to attract at least 6,000 spectators each, she added.
“We will not exclude the possibility of taking necessary legal action if the cancellation is found to be by reason of default,“ Liew said.
Customers who have bought tickets will get a full refund at outlets from which they bought their tickets. They should bring along the original tickets.
