17 students hurt when bus plunges into drain
IPOH: Seventeen students were injured, two of them seriously, when a bus skidded and landed in a drain due to a burst tyre at Km316 of the North-South Expressway near Tapah.
Tapah police chief Supt Roslan Bek Ahmad said the 12.40pm incident happened when the bus carrying 39 passengers — seven teachers and 31 students — was returning to Klang after a cricket competition in Penang.

Roslan said the bus carrying the cricketers from the Selangor Sports Council, skidded when one of the tyres burst.
Officers from the Fire and Rescue Department from Tapah, rushed to the scene to help those injured and trapped inside the bus. Those who were not injured continued their journey home in another bus, he said. — Bernama
