A(H1N1): Daily local transmissions overtake imports

KUALA KRAI: The Health Ministry said there are now more local transmissions of Influenza A(H1N1) compared with imported cases.
There were 34 new local transmission cases recorded Monday compared with 28 imported ones.
Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said there was a need for greater awareness among the public.
He said this is the first time that a daily H1N1 count shows more locally transmitted cases.
“Nevertheless, the pandemic in the country is under control,” he said.
