Dewan adjourns after passing nine bills
The Dewan adjourned sine die after sitting for 12 days, in which nine bills were passed.
They were the DNA Identification Bill, the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) Bill, Central Bank of Malaysia Bill, Human Rights Commission of Malaysia Bill, National Service Training Bill, Road Transport Bill, Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia Bill, Feed Bill and Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation Bill 2009.
Two bills - Destitute Persons Bill and Malaysian Timber Industry Board Bill (Incorporation) (Validation) Bill - which have been scheduled for tabling for second reading, have been withdrawn from this meeting.
Three bills have been deferred to the next Parliamentary meeting in October. They are the Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation Bill, the Judges Ethics Committee Bill, Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation Bill and the Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd (Special Provisions) Bill.
