SMEs invited to take part in trade fair
PETALING JAYA: All small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have been invited to participate in the Malaysia International Trade and Consumer Fair in December.
Organising chairman Datuk David Chua said invitations have also been sent to SMEs in Asean countries, India, South Korea and the Middle East to display their goods and services.
He said currently, many exhibitors participating in the fair were from China and most visitors would have read about the event in the Chinese language media.
“We hope participants of all races will join in the event,” he said, adding that it hoped to attract the attention of English-speaking visitors to the fair, which was aimed at promoting consumption of local goods and expanding the market for SMEs.
This year, the fair, which started in 1998, would be featured as part of the Eighth Expo Cintai Malaysia, organised by the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event is from Dec 2 to 6 at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Mines Resort City.
