Najib and Nik Aziz’s chance meeting leads to discussion
KOTA BARU: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had a chance 20-minute meeting with Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat yesterday and discussed several issues.
The Prime Minister arrived at the Pengkalan Chepa airport in the morning where he bumped into the PAS spiritual leader, who was about the depart from the airport.
During the brief encounter, Najib advised Nik Aziz to be sensitive to the feelings of the people and stop making any statements that could offend especially Umno members.
“I told him that he should avoid making any statements that would offend anyone especially Umno members and I think he understood what I meant,” Najib told reporters after launching the Kota Baru Umno delegates meeting yesterday.
“The meeting was short and it lasted between 15 and 20 minutes. Nik Aziz said he wanted me to consider helping the Kelantan Government and foster a better relationship between the federal and Kelantan governments,” he said.

Najid said he could not make any decision on the oil royalty issue and that it needed to be reviewed since it involved overlapping areas between Malaysian and Thai waters.
He told Nik Aziz that the proposal for the port needed further study as part of the East Coast Economic Region concept.
