‘Little Professors’ to take on the big boys in video finals
PETALING JAYA: They call themselves the Little Professors - and these five primary schoolchildren have proven themselves worthy of their team name. They have emeraed as one of the finalists for The Star-Pizza Hut’s Mag Inc 2009 contest in both the magazine and video clip categories.
The only primary team that made it to the finals of the video clip category, they will compete against two upper secondary school teams for a chance to win six Canon Powershot A470 digital cameras.
The other finalists are Angels-Devils of SMK Sultan Abu Bakar, Pahang, and The-4-Of-Us from SMJK Chan Wa, Negri Sembilan.

“We had a hard time choosing the finalists.
“The quality of their work is fantastic and the issues faced by teenagers highlighted in the magazines are an eye-opener and very real,” he said.
The other judges were The Star’s executive editor Leanne Goh, Pizza Hut general manager (marketing) Low Kang Moon, as well as Josephine Tan and Stephanie Mill from Taylor’s University College.
The finalists who will be making their presentations on Oct 2 at the Pizza Hut Kota Damansara outlet are:
> Primary Category: Little professor and Boyz Attax, SK Bandar Utama Damansara (4), Selangor;
> Lower Secondary: Underdog, SMJK Chan Wa, Negri Sembilan; and E=MC2, SMK Convent Ipoh, Perak;
> Upper Secondary: Blaze Breeze, SMK Hwa Lian, Pahang; and Jeune, SMK Kuching High, Sarawak.
The winning team members in the upper secondary category will win five pre-university scholarships worth a total of RM100,000, sponsored by Taylor’s.
The contest is jointly organised by The Star and Pizza Hut.
