Woman with cocaine in stomach held
KUALA LUMPUR: A Thai woman who smuggled about 800g of cocaine worth RM600,000 in her stomach, was arrested in a budget hotel at Jalan Pudu on Monday morning.
The 27-year-old who flew in from Brazil was arrested with a Filipino man, in his 20s, who was supposed to take the drugs to Thailand.
“We seized about 500g of cocaine and arrested the duo,” City Narcotics chief Asst Comm Kang Chez Chiang said; adding that the woman was sent to a hospital where the cocaine was discharged from her stomach.
