Two postmen under probe over missing Hari Raya cards
KUALA LUMPUR: Two postmen are being investigated over missing hari raya greeting cards sent by Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
Pos Malaysia Berhad acting chief operating officer Bahaman Kamaruzzaman said two gunny sacks of the cards were recovered at a security guard beat base in Bandar Tun Razak on Monday.
"There is definitely no element of sabotage. The cards had been sorted out and sent to respective addresses," he said at a media briefing here Saturday.
Bahaman said hari raya greeting cards must be sent by Monday to ensure that they reach the destination before Aidilfitri.
He attributed the drop in hari raya greeting cards from 7.2 million last year to 6.6 million to date to the economic slowdown and the preference for email and short messaging service (SMs). - Bernama
