One million wishes sought to propose to girlfriend
A SINGAPOREAN man hopes to surprise his girlfriend by collecting one million well wishes via cyberspace to propose to her, Sin Chew Daily reported.
The man, known only as KK, aims to collect the “worded blessings” from well-wishers throughout the world, via his blog posting, by Jan 27, 2010.
In his blog http://willyoumarryme2010.blogspot.com, set up on Sept 3, he urged visitors to leave their well wishes, saying “even a short line will do”, adding that these were very important to him.
KK, who said he would thank those who gave their blessings via e-mail, also wrote that he would post a short video clip after he had collected the one million wishes.
In just 10 days, KK reportedly received 1,965 wishes from Taiwan, England, Malaysia and other countries.
> China Press reported that Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau did not turn up at a Chinese temple in Klang although his presence was highly expected there.
It was reported earlier that Lau’s wife, Carol Choo, and her siblings had been made committee members of the temple.
The temple recently held a celebration but there was no sight of Lau.
He was said to have visited the temple before and had gone there at night to avoid attention.
A notice pasted on a board in the temple about the appointment of the committee members was tampered with recently by unknown persons using black ink to scribble the names.
The notice announced that several members of the Choo family were made committee members of the temple.
Instead of Lau, Selangor state executive councillor Ronnie Liu was seen at the temple.
