20% discount on toll charges
PETALING JAYA: Private vehicles using the North-South expressway and ELITE highways will enjoy up to 20% discount on toll charges in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations.
Concessionaire PLUS Expressways Bhd said the discount would be applicable to private car owners – which are categorised as Class 1 motorists – travelling during off-peak hours on Sept 16,17,18, 22, 24 and 25 between midnight and 7am.
“The additional 10% discount will given on top of the existing 10% discount enjoyed by Class 1 vehicles on both expressways every day during off-peak hours,” PLUS said in a statement.
“For example, a one-way journey from the Jalan Duta toll plaza in Kuala Lumpur to the Juru toll plaza in Penang will only cost RM35 if users exit the PLUS highway between midnight and 7am compared to RM43.30 during peak hours,” it said.
Its chief operations officer Nik Airina Nik Jaffar said the discount was part of its travel incentive programme.
