KULIM: Police are seeking the help of the public to locate a 12-year-old pupil who went missing from her school here 15 minutes before the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination on Sept 8.
Kulim OCPD Supt Ghuzlan Salleh urged those who knew of the whereabouts of S. Ashwini, a Year Six pupil of SRJK (T) Kulim, to contact the nearest police station.
He said the 10-member police task force set up to look for Ashwini was still looking for the girl.
It was earlier reported that several schoolteachers had seen Ashwini talking to two women in the school compound on the day she went missing.
The teachers did not suspect anything as they thought the strangers were family members.
However, a teacher who noticed that Ashwini was absent during the examination, alerted the headmaster who informed the family.
The family lodged a police report the same day.
Ashwini is the second child among seven siblings.
