Boy watches as brother is hit and dragged by car
TWO Malay tabloids reported the case of a seven-year-old boy in Kuala Terengganu who screamed and ran after a car that had hit and killed his five-year-old brother in Kampung Raja, near Tepuh.
In the 11am incident, the victim Che Ku Mohd Afiq Che Ku Mazlan, who was accompanying his older brother, Che Ku Idris to a shop, was hit by a Proton Saga that dragged him for 35m, reported Harian Metro.
The boys’ uncle Che Wan Ibrahim Che Wan Ngah, 54, said he was outside his shop when he suddenly heard a loud thud.
He was shocked to see a boy being dragged by a car when he went out to check.
“I saw Che Ku Idris chasing after the car yelling, ‘my brother, my brother’. He held his brother and cried when the car stopped,” Che Wan said when met at the Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah Forensic Unit on Monday.
Kosmo! quoted the boys’ father Che Ku Mazlan Che Ku Ahmad, 42, saying that Che Ku Idris cried until evening and refused to talk or eat.

The woman, from Tanjung Demong in Besut, claimed that her husband even tried to insert his toes into her private parts.
Deputy district police chief Deputy Supt Roslan Hasan said the woman lodged the report after quarrelling with her husband, but the man, in his 30s, had not been arrested as there were no visible injuries on the wife.
The police would also write to the Besut Religious Department to ensure that investigations would be conducted on the couple.
The police are investigating the case as domestic dispute.
