Two-month-old sugar supply problem resolved
SUBANG JAYA: The sugar supply problem in the last two months has been resolved, said Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohd Zain Mohd Dom.
“Nationwide checks found sugar supply to be stable except for a few isolated cases in rural areas,” he told reporters after distributing bubur lambuk sponsored by food giant Nestle to customers of the Mydin hypermarket here yesterday.
The ministry was monitoring the situation closely, and should demand rise as Aidifiltri approaches, millers would be asked to increase production.
