BACHOK: Two student pilots from a local flying school had a narrow escape after their aircraft crash-landed in a padi field in Jelawat here yesterday.

District OCPD Deputy Supt Yahya Salleh said Tuan Ahmad Hussaini Tuan Mohd Kamal, 30, who was flying the plane, broke his leg while M. Ramesh, 30, sprained his ankle in the 4.40pm incident.

“At this moment, police do not have the details on the type of the twin-seater aircraft, but both victims were sent to the University Sains Malaysia Hospital at Kubang Kerian for treatment,” said DSP Yahya.
